Frequently Asked Questions

What's a compass chart?

Two lines cross in the middle, there's a word at each end and a zone in each corner, and you put people, characters or things where they belong. It's the format behind the political compass meme and the alignment chart (lawful good, chaotic evil…), but the axes can be anything you like.

How do I make one?

Double-click or double-tap any word on the chart to rename it, the four zones included. Add names with the box or the Add button, or drop and paste pictures right onto the chart. Drag everything where it belongs, then download the PNG.

Is it free?

Yes, and it stays that way. There's no paid version.

Do I need an account?

No. There are no accounts on this site.

Are my pictures uploaded anywhere?

No. Pictures are shrunk and kept in your browser, and the PNG is made there too. Nothing you add leaves your device.

Can I use pictures with a transparent background?

Yes. PNGs keep their transparency and their shape, so cut-outs and logos sit right on the chart.

Can I keep editing later?

Your chart is saved in this browser as you work. To move it to another device or keep a backup, use "Save file" and open it again later with "Open file".

What size is the download?

A square PNG, 1080 × 1080, which fits Instagram, Reddit, Discord and group chats.
